FINANCIAL ADVISOR SEMINAR

On September 20th, Ilene Ferenczy presented a seminar for local financial advisors titled “Fiduciary & Service Agreement Issues for Financial Advisors.” The session was held at Maggiano’s – Perimeter Mall, and was co-sponsored by Retirement Plan Administrators, Transamerica Retirement Services, Natixis Global Associates, and Ridgeworth Investments, all located in Atlanta.

JOHN MARSHALL LAW SCHOOL

Ilene Ferenczy was recently appointed to a five-year term on the Employee Benefits Advisory Board of the John Marshall Law School Center for Tax Law and Employee Benefits in Chicago, Illinois.

CHICAGO ADVANCED PENSION CONFERENCE

Ilene Ferenczy was one of the main speakers during the 2011 Advanced Pension Conference sponsored by SunGard in Chicago Sept. 7-9.  She co-presented the opening session, “Keeping Current,” a session for all participants devoted to the recent developments with Congress, the IRS, the DOL and the courts.  She also conducted a session on “Forfeiture Allocation Issues.”  In addition, Ilene co-presented an IRS “Mock DOL Investigation,” was a contestant in the popular “Pension Jeopardy” contest, and was also a panelist for the “Ask the Experts” closing session.

SHE’S A WINNER!

Barbara Murphy ran in the 19th annual Run for Justice sponsored by the Atlanta Legal Aid Society on November 20, 2010, in Decatur, Georgia.  She won first place in her age category.  Excellent job, and run on, Barb!
